Due to the overwhelming success of Kentucky State University’s COVID-19 Safety Week, in-person learning will resume on campus beginning Aug. 31.

Students met the moment, with nearly 600 students volunteering for COVID-19 testing during Thorobred Tuesday, doing their part to stop the spread. The remaining students and campus employees had access to voluntary testing during Thorobred Thursday.

The campus community came together for educational training, games and prizes related to COVID-19 safety, including two games of Virtual Jeopardy Monday. Questions included topics such as COVID-19 testing, proper hygiene practices, terms and social practices during the pandemic and best practices on campus to stay safe and healthy.

Faculty and students gracefully adapted to fully online learning during COVID-19 Safety Week, allowing for a week of further COVID-19 education.
