Incoming Kentucky State University freshman featured in USA Today

An incoming Kentucky State University freshman was recently featured in a USA Today story about turning 18 in Tamir Rice’s America.
Savion Briggs, who recently graduated from Butler High School in Louisville, discussed how he didn’t grow up playing cops and robbers or using toy guns. Briggs talked to USA Today about his experiences with police and organizing protests against police brutality.
Briggs told USA Today he hopes to be among the first in his family to graduate from college.
