Kentucky State University is the host site for an upcoming Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence working group meeting.

The Prichard Committee Postsecondary Affordability Working Group meets June 20 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Cooperative Extension building.

The meeting will feature a presentation on the Affordability Interactive Model developed by Dr. Jim Fridley of the University of Washington.

“We are honored to host the Pritchard Committee Postsecondary Affordability Working Group on the beautiful campus of Kentucky State University,” Dr. Lucian Yates, III, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, said. “We are appreciative of the great work the Committee has done over the years in improving educational opportunities and educational outcomes in this state. We are poised and ready to help in your efforts.”

According to its website, since 1983, the Prichard Committee has worked to study priority issues, inform the public and policy makers about best practices and engage citizens, business leaders, families, students, and other stakeholders in a shared mission to move Kentucky to the top tier of all states for education excellence and equity for all children, from their earliest years through postsecondary education.
