
Kentucky State University student received best abstract award

A Kentucky State University student recently received the Tyson Food Inc.’s Best Abstract Award during Aquaculture 2019 in New Orleans.
Gagan Kolimadu was selected from student members of the World Aquaculture Society and the United States Aquaculture Society (USAS) who submitted abstracts for presentation at Aquaculture 2019.
Kolimadu presented his abstract titled, “Evaluation of Omega-3 rich micro-algae and organic trace minerals in the diet of largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides L.”
Judges determined Kolimadu’s work was well-written, properly formatted and demonstrated high scientific merit.
