Kentucky State University president to speak at Columbia University

Kentucky State University President M. Christopher Brown II will speak at the Teachers College at Columbia University in New York Feb. 28.

President Brown’s address is titled “When Theory and Practice Collide: Race, Hypervisibility, and the Imposter Syndrome in Educational Leadership.”

According to its website, the Columbia University “Teachers College was founded on the proposition that education alone can’t correct our society’s inequalities – that to maximize the life chances of all people, we must also support poorer communities’ physical and nutritional health and psychological wellbeing.”

The event takes place Thursday, Feb. 28 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Teachers College in New York, New York.
