Kentucky State University represented in the 29th-annual Honda Campus All-Star Challenge

Students from Kentucky State University will compete in the qualifying round of the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) Feb. 2 at Harris-Stowe University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Team members for Kentucky State are Michael Weaver, Madison Powell, Alexus Lloyd, Mark Johannemann and Sydnie Miller.

The HSASC is a fast-paced buzzer competition for top Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) students that highlights students’ academic prowess and ability to answer questions about history, science, literature, religion, the arts and pop culture.

Kentucky State University is one of 65 teams competing for institutional grants and a spot in the HCASC national championship tournament April 7-11 in Los Angeles.

Four HBCUs can automatically qualify for the national championship based on a public vote at http://bit.ly/2G79eVv. Vote up to three times a day through Feb. 5.
