Kentucky State University hosts indoor tilapia, shrimp, and aquaponics program

Kentucky State University’s nationally-ranked aquaculture research program will host a workshop on indoor tilapia, shrimp and aquaponics on Saturday, March 25 at the Aquaculture Research Center on Athletic Drive in Frankfort. The program will begin at 9 a.m. and will conclude around 4 p.m. Lunch is provided. This workshop will cover many topics including permitting requirements for aquaculture in Kentucky, tilapia hatchery production, tilapia nutrition, indoor marine shrimp production systems, marketing to farmers markets, and vegetative crop selection for aquaponics systems.
