FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky State University will host the inaugural “Football in Frankfort Kick Off” media day for local high schools, Frankfort High School, Franklin County High School and Western Hills High School along with the Kentucky State University Football team on August 13, 2015, in the William Exum Center on KSU’s campus, as the university celebrates the start of the 2015 football season.

KSU will be the site to gain insider information on the this year’s local high school teams along with the season perspective for the 2015 KSU Thorobred football team. The Football in Frankfort Kick Off will begin at 7 p.m. with booth locations for all teams for pictures, autographs and individual interview sessions. At 7:30 p.m., the event will commence with greetings from the KSU Athletic Director Harry Stinson III, Frankfort Mayor William May and representatives from the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.

The University of Kentucky star quarterback Jared Lorenzen is scheduled to speak to the crowd along with Kentucky NFL Hall of Famer and KSU Assistant Football Coach Jason Dunn followed by a Q&A with all of the head coaches concerning their season outlook.

Food and games also will highlight the event. Tickets for the event are just $5 for parents and members of the community. Some of the proceeds from the event will go to the high school’s athletic programs. Fans can track the event’s activities through the KSU Athletics twitter page @KSU_Athletics.

KSU will kick-off its home season opener on Saturday, September 12, 2015 vs. Johnson C. Smith with a community outreach game. Season tickets and Circle City Classic Tickets can be purchased by calling the KSU athletics ticket office at (502) 597-6011.
