KSU Alum and Frankfort Mayor May to kick off Pay It Forward Frankfort

FRANKFORT, Ky. Join Kentucky State alum and Mayor William May in the official kick off of Pay It Forward Frankfort at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 27, on the steps of Hume Hall at Kentucky State University. KSU President Raymond M. Burse and other campus stakeholders will help to initiate this community event.

May also will present a proclamation to mark this special occasion that promotes community spirit.

Burse is no stranger to Pay It Forward Frankfort. Last year, he gave Deshon Floyd, a senior from Frankfort, a portion of the money needed for a psychology internship in New Zealand.

The president also made national headlines last year after giving up $90,000 of his salary to increase the pay of the university’s lowest-paid workers. The “Give 9” campaign is part of an ongoing program to encourage the KSU community to participate in acts of kindness.
