The Kentucky State University Concert Choir will perform with the Frankfort Community Chorus for its Christmas Concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7 at First Christian Church, 316 Ann St. The concert’s admission is $15 for adults and $7 for students.

This is the first collaborative effort by KSU’s Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Carl Smith and the Frankfort Community Chorus directed by Dr. Phyllis Vincent. Accompanying the choirs will be the brass musicians from the University of Kentucky and percussionists from KSU. Gary Johnson of Frankfort is the organist.

KSU Artist in Residence and Assistant Professor of Voice Dr. Caroline Gibson also will sing at the festive event. Dr. Gibson joined KSU in August and has done solo concert tours in Mexico and the US Virgin Islands. She has been featured on “Artists Spotlights” on classical music stations across the country.
