KSU is No. 2! Let's vote to win in the Allstate HBC-I-Owe-U Program
Kentucky State University is No. 2, and we are oh so so close to winning $50,000. Sound exciting, right? Well, we need your help: Just vote! Students, faculty and staff, please take time to cast your vote in AllState HBC-I-Owe-U program.
About the program
The HBC-I-Owe-U program is the latest chapter in the Allstate Quotes for Education initiative, which was established in 2009 as a way to provide financial support for students of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
When the initiative’s 2015 goals are met, Allstate will have donated more than $1,000,000 in scholarships for HBCU students over the past seven years.
It’s easy to participate, and does not require a purchase of any kind. All you need to do is get an insurance quote from an Allstate Agent or online. For each quote, Allstate will donate $10 to the Tom Joyner Foundation in support of HBCU students, up to $200,000. Getting an “insurance quote” just means having an agent price an insurance policy for you.
In addition to quoting with Allstate to help raise money for HBCUs, you can also vote for your favorite HBCU; the HBCU who receives the most votes will receive a $50,000 donation to its scholarship fund. You can vote every day until this year’s program ends on November 30, 2015.
We all owe a special debt of gratitude to historically black colleges and universities for providing pathways to success for African-Americans. Thank you for participating in HBC-I-Owe-U, and for doing your part to help keep HBCUs strong for generations to come.
