KSU Mighty Marching Thorobreds To Perform During Colts Game

Posted on September 8, 2014

The Kentucky State University Mighty Marching Thorobred Band will perform at the regular season home opener of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 15.

Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. against the Philadelphia Eagles.

“It’s going to be one of the most exciting halftime shows,” interim band director Robert Griffin says. “We’re very excited about it. It’s a big honor when a marching band from a small university is invited to play during Monday Night Football.”

The Colts are providing 150 tickets and will cover transportation costs, food and beverage for all band participants.

KSU’s band annually performs at numerous events throughout the year, including KSU football games, football classics, festivals, parades and as the pep band at KSU basketball games.
