About the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration/Chief Financial Officer
Douglas R. Allen II
Douglas R. Allen II was appointed Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Kentucky State University on May 7, 2018. On January 1, 2019 Mr. Allen was promoted to the Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer for Kentucky State University. Mr. Allen is responsible for the overall management of the University's Business Operations, including Accounting, Admissions, Auxiliary Services, Budget Policy and Planning, Bursar, Capital Planning and Facilities, Financial Aid, Information Technology, Payroll, Purchasing and University Police.
With more than 22 years of accounting experience within higher education, Mr. Allen previously served as Director of Financial Services for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. He has also worked at Crowe Horwath as an Audit Manager and for the Commonwealth of Kentucky as an Audit Supervisor for the Office of the Auditor of Public Accounts. Mr. Allen is a member of the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Society of CPAs, as well as a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation and former Finance Committee Chair and Board member of the Lexington Art League.
