Employee Profile - Elizabeth "Katy" Doyle

Name: Elizabeth “Katy” Doyle

Position: Administrative Assistant II

How long have you been employed at Kentucky State? A little over three years.

What do you enjoy most about your role? Getting to interact and get to know our biology and chemistry majors. Watching them start as freshmen and grow into confident, young adults has been a treasure.

What has been one of your favorite moments at Kentucky State? Having Fresh Fridays and being able to see faculty, staff and students have a good time in a relaxed environment. K-State is a community and it shows at those types of events.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? I love playing tabletop and board games. I also enjoy gardening and creating art, whether it be painting or theatre, being creative is a huge part of my life.

What is one thing you couldn’t live without? Coffee, I am not a person until I get that morning cup of coffee.

A fun fact about me is… I am a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for the Commonwealth. I raise orphaned baby animals and release them back into the wild when they are old enough to be on their own.
