The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) activated its Emergency
Operations Center (EOC) on Monday, January 20, 2020 in order to support public health
partners in responding to the outbreak caused by a novel (new) coronavirus first identified
in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.

Kentucky and COVID-19: By 5:00 p.m. on March 18, 2020 - Gov. Beshear issued an executive order outlining specific steps all public-facing businesses should take regarding closures… all public-facing businesses that encourage public congregation or, that by the nature of the service to the public, cannot comply with CDC guidelines concerning social distancing, shall cease all in-person.
