Welcome to Kentucky State University, a campus where opportunity is no stranger!
I am Christopher Hogan, your Student Government Association President for the 2007-2008 school year. To tell you a bit about myself, I am a senior Public Administration major with a minor in Spanish. I am from the wonderful city of Dayton, Ohio. I serve as your student representative on the Board of Regents at Kentucky State and as your student body president. I can ensure that your stay here can be an experience to remember.

Kentucky State is known for its family atmosphere as the only Historically Black University in the State of Kentucky and a premier land grant institution in the nation. You will find it easy to be welcomed here at KSU, but it first starts with you. College is meant to be an experience that you will cherish for your entire life, but you must first become an involved student. Kentucky State has a wide variety of student organizations, from Student Government to Departmental Clubs to Greek Organizations to being a mentor or tutor. Take this once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy this college experience because not everyone is blessed to have the chance.
So welcome to the chance of a lifetime, the chance to become great, to become influential, to become a better person, and the chance to become a successful graduate of Kentucky State University. Congratulations on your choice, and make this chance one that is worth it!
“Education is when you read the fine print. Experience is what you get if you don't.” -Pete Seeger
