Welcome to the KSU GIS Gallery.  Here you will find examples of work done, project assistance and outreach.

Our first outreach into the K-12 environment was assisting the Frankfort High School Community Problem Solving Class/Team with their project to look at helping to secure Frankfort's infrastructure.  KSU GIS provided technical assistance with their project including defining the use of GIS for the study, helping find and use relevant data sources and providing final output production for their display.  The Team's project came in second in the Kentucky-wide competition and that got them an invitation to the International Future/Community Problem Solving Conference at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.  The competition concluded on June 4th with the FHS Team taking fourth place in the Senior Division in Environment and Human Services.  A fairly awesome feat for their first international competition.

KSU will continue to pursue these types of outreach to further the study and use of GIS.
