Mission
Approximately 97 percent of Kentucky’s 82,300 farms are small farms. The Small Farm Program is designed to enhance the income and sustainability of small farmers in Kentucky with a particular emphasis on limited resource persons. The Small Farmer Outreach Training and Technical Assistance Program (SFOTTAP) is a grant-funded program designed to further improve the financial viability and standard of living for small farmers, limited resources and socially disadvantaged farm operators through outreach and technical assistance programs. Apiculture and Aquaculture specialists also serve this clientele.
