Jesse Crenshaw

Dr. Crenshaw has taught CJE 101, Introduction to Criminal Justice; CJE 103, Introduction to Criminal Law; CJE 203, Criminal Procedure; CJE 204, Criminal Evidence; CJE 303, Constitutionl Issues I; CJE 304, Constitutionl Issues II; CJE 316, Victimology; and CJE 390, Criminal Justice Internship. He was employed at Kentucky State University from 1974 through 1978. From April 11, 1978 through July 31, 1980, he was employed by the United States Department of Justice as a federal prosecutor. He served as assistant United States attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky. In the early 1980's, Creshaw served as the General Counsel for the Lexington-Fayette Human Rights Commission. He served from 1983 to 2003 as one of the Kentucky State University pre-law advisors for students who wished to attend law school. Crenshaw has been licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky since 1974. He served as one of the original members of the Prichard Committee and he served on the Kentucky Crime Commission. His intellectual interests are varied. He has observed the operation of court systems in Ireland, Mexico, and Russia. He has traveled extensively and visited museums of art, science, and industry in Austria, Canada, England, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Russia, Scotland, Switzerland, Vietnam, and Wales. Crenshaw has visited Oxford, Cambridge, and Trinity College. He lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
Reginald Thomas

Reginald Thomas is presently an assistant professor within the Division of Social Work/Criminal Justice. He has been employed at Kentucky State University since November, 1984 and is a former General Counsel of the University. Mr. Thomas teaches courses in the are of Criminal Justice as well as courses in the field of business law. In 1975 Mr. Thomas graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College. For the past two years he has served as member of the University Faculty Senate. Mr. Thomas is also a licensed attorney and holds a law degree from Harvard University. He is the author of two articles published in the law review journals. Currently Mr. Thomas is on the advisory board of the Lexington Community College and also serves on the board of the Lexington chapter of the National Conference of Community and Justice.
Dr. Rebecca Buckner

Dr. Rebecca Buckner is an Associate Professor and Coordinator for Field Instruction. Her teaching areas include research and statistics and human behavior in the social environment. She is a KSU graduate ‘71 and earned the MSW from the University of Illinois-Jane Addams School of Social Work ‘73. Her DSW if from the Howard University School of Social Work ‘86 with concentrations in program evaluation and evaluation research for children and families.
