The Master of Arts in Special Education with Certification for Learning and Behavior Disorders (P-12), an Alternative Route to LBD Certification, is designed for qualified college graduates including those with little or no previous teacher training to obtain certification and the completion of the masters degree. Admittance Requirements:
- A bachelors degree from any accredited institution
- Successful completion of foundation course work
- Undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 or better
- Graduate Record Examination on file or successful completion of a masters program
- Admission to Graduate School
- Admission to Teacher Education Program/LBD (apply to the TEP after 6 to 9 credit hours of course work
- Letters of recommendation (3) from previous faculty and/or other professionals
- TOEFL score for international students
