Operation Half-Note

Placement examinations in music theory and piano, and applied music auditions on the principal instrument or voice are required of all entering students who intend to declare a major in Music.

KSU recognizes that student recitals are an integral part of the educational process. In addition to completing the required courses for the Bachelor of Music degree, all music majors must perform a public recital on their major instrument or voice to demonstrate knowledge of applicable solo performance literature and competency in its preparation.

The Electronic Performance Mirror (EPM)is an interactive portfolio system of student assessment which integrates reflective processes, technology, and web-based or web enhanced course applications into both linear and non- linear pods.
