Throughout its history, Kentucky State has a proud tradition of athletic excellence.  From a National Championship football team in the '30s, to the three-time NAIA National Championship basketball team of the late '60s and early '70s, Thorobred friends and fans have had something to cheer about.

In more recent years, KSU has been home to a National Minority Championship-winning golf team, a softball team that brought home three consecutive SIAC championships and countless athletes with impressive individual achievements.
