I decided to attend Kentucky State University because of the school's rich African American heritage and its friendly campus environment. At other institutions within the Kentucky area, I felt like just another number in an overcrowded classroom. But at Kentucky State University, I actually feel like a vital part of the classroom learning experience!

I decided to go to Kentucky State University because I thought it was really important to attend a Historically Black Institution. I also love the one on one opportunities that I have with my professors and classmates that contribute to the overall welcoming feel of the school!

I decided to attend KSU because I received a tour by a Student Ambassador. I was impressed by the students’ knowledge of the school’s history. After my tour I knew that K-State was the college for me. I loved my experience so much that I developed a passion for informing prospective students about KSU, so I too became a Student Ambassador. I feel that I am a good representation of what a successful male at Kentucky State University should be due to my academic success and community outreach through various organizations. This would not have occurred if I did not attend K-State. Welcome future Thorobreds!

Why K-State: I decided to make Kentucky State University my institution of choice because I felt welcome and at home upon my first visit to the campus. I was recruited to play football and on my visit to the school, I was overwhelmed by the warm welcome, love and genuine care for my well-being that I received from people that I then considered to be strangers. It’s a great school with deep rooted cultural and historical background. You can’t help but love K-State!
