The Instruction Services at Blazer Library is based on Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education. The Library Instruction Services espouses and promotes Information Literacy for lifelong learning. This empowers users to become lifelong independent learners with the ability to locate, retrieve, evaluate, and use information for problem solving. Information Skills Tutorial may be used by individuals for self education. KILT: The KSU Information Literacy Tutorial gives users access to helpful information literacy links covering helpful literacy topics.
We customze Library Instruction to meet the research needs of specific classes.
Individual or group/classes may be scheduled in advance by completing the Library Instruction Request Form a week (five working days) before the desired date of instruction or by sending an email to Nkechi Amadife. A librarian will contact you within two working days to confirm the instruction date, otherwise call Nkechi Amadife at (502) 597-6817 or the Reference Desk at (502)597-6857.
