Academic Achievement Scholarship Application

Fall 2007-Spring 2008

 

The Academic Achievement Scholarship is a non-renewable scholarship established to assist KSU students who have completed at least one year at this institution and who have demonstrated academic excellence. This award is intended to provide assistance to encourage and recognize our student achievers who meet the required criteria. Applicants already receiving academic scholarships, (i.e. Presidential, Service County, Commonwealth, and Black Achievers) are not eligible to apply. 

 

Applicants must apply for financial aid by submitting a Free Application for Federal Student aid (FAFSA). Applicants must be continuing KSU students with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA by the end of the spring semester 2007. 

 

3.5-4.0 cumulative GPA          $3000

3.25-3.49 cumulative GPA      $2000

3.0-3.24 cumulative GPA        $1000

 

Instructions for application

  1. Complete the application form and Personal Essay.
  2. Submit two (2) professional and/or academic references (click here to access the printable version of the reference form) from persons most familiar with your background and abilities.  
  3. Submit signed authorization form (Click here for printable version) and letters of reference by May 11, 2007 to:

  1. You must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.FAFSA.ed.gov by April 15 in order to receive priority consideration.   Students who do not have complete FAFSA information on file at the time of selection will not be eligible for consideration.

 

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered for scholarship assistance.
