Credit for Life Experience

Through the Office of Continuing and Distance Education, you may be able to earn college credit for your significant professional, artistic and/or service accomplishments.

Your past or current experiences can help you earn your college degree.

The Credit for Life Experience Program course offering (CLE 299) may give you a jump start on your degree.

The CLE program is designed to give students an opportunity to accumulate credit towards a major field of study through the development of a ‘portfolio of accomplishments’ that meet specific course objectives.  Students work with an advisor and a team of faculty with expertise who will evaluate the contents of the portfolio in relationship to how effectively they meet a course’s expected outcomes. Based on that evaluation, students may be awarded credit for the specific University course(s).

All credits earned through the CLE program may be applied towards the satisfaction of degree requirements.

Interested students should contact Roberta Mason, CLE Program Advisor/Instructor at
502-597-5614 or email rmason@kysu.edu.
