Through Kentucky State University, students enroll in courses that are broadcast over the KET Network. College credit can be earned for courses from the comfort of home. Television programs are broadcast throughout the semester at scheduled times and days. They may be viewed immediately or taped later for review and study at home. Students take notes and complete assignments at home. Professors usually require students to attend an initial orientation class meeting on the first Saturday of the semester, and some require testing on campus. Most courses air once a week for one hour. These courses are ideal for students with limited free time and hectic schedules.
