We offer programs and activities to develop leadership, teamwork, and communications skills through learning, practicing, and teaching the principles of free enterprise.

GOALS:
- The establishment of unity between the university and Frankfort community to ensure strong bonds and success for future generations.
- Offer programs that attract students to become SIFE members.

- Encourage SIFE members to participate in regional and national SIFE programs and conferences.
TEAM HISTORY
SIFE was introduced to the students of Kentucky State University in April of 2004. Two students, also pioneer members of SIFE, worked unofficially in the 2004 Summer Youth Entrepreneurship Camp. As the fall semester started SIFE had its kickoff in September of 2004. By the next month SIFE was an official campus organization Kentucky State University. Our first introduction into the community also took place in October when we built a float for KSU’s homecoming parade. As the semester came to an end, we continued our work developing a plan for the Ford Business Plan competition. The plan was submitted in January 2005. We also developed a grant request, and, in March, received a grant from the Marcus Foundation covering a period of March to November 2005.
