New Leadership Positions:
Dr. Abdul Turay came on board as the Interim Chair of the School of Business on August 1, 2012. He comes to us with a long and distinguished record of achievement and senior level academic leadership on several campuses. He holds Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oklahoma.
Professor Kimberly Sipes has been appointed as Assistant to the Dean of the College of Business and Computer Science. She is an Assistant Professor of Accounting. In her new role, she will be the lead person for all activities dealing with our pursuit of AACSB accreditation for Business programs and ABET accreditation for Computer Science programs. Her immediate responsibilities include guiding the faculty develop effective assessment plans for each academic program offered in the College and developing a manual of policies and procedures for the College of Business and Computer Science.
New Faculty Positions:
Dr. Richard A. Rivers is Visiting Professor of Accounting. He comes to us with a long and distinguished record of achievement and academic leadership from Southern Illinois University. He holds a D.B.A in Accounting from Kent State University
Dr. Tibebe Assefa is an Assistant Professor of Finance. He comes to us from the University of Texas Pan American.
