Sheri Crabtree

 

Sheri Crabtree received a B.S. in Horticulture in 2000 and an M.S. in Plant and Soil Science in 2004, both from the University of Kentucky. She has been employed at Kentucky State University since 2000, first as a Research Assistant in Horticulture (2000-2006), then as Co-Investigator of Horticulture (2006-present).

Sheri's main areas of interest include pawpaw propagation, cultivar evaluation, and fruit processing. Other projects include pawpaw breeding, rootstock development, and germplasm acquisition and evaluation, eastern filbert blight resistant hazelnut evaluation, and primocane fruiting blackberry cultivar evaluation.

Sheri is also responsible for maintaining the KSU Pawpaw Facebook page and enjoys working with pawpaw growers and enthusiasts via field days, farm visits, email, and phone calls.
