Nancy Cálix gives leadership to the Hispanic Initiative efforts of the Cooperative Extension Program. Her work focuses on developing and implementing culturally and linguistically responsive programming, practices, technology, and problem solving for Hispanic outreach and diverse audiences.
Ms. Cálix has engaged in extensive training and collaborative partnerships within the Land Grant system and external organizations to promote multiculturalism and inclusion. She provides consultation and technical advice to the 1890 and 1862 Kentucky Extension system colleagues in the areas of language access for culturally diverse audiences and Hispanic affairs.
Ms. Cálix is a native of La Ceiba, Honduras and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Kentucky State University.
