I am an employee of the United Sates Department of Agriculture Office of Advocacy and Outreach 1890 Programs. I come to Kentucky State University as the 1890 Program Liaison, after serving 24 Years as an employee of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. I bring experience to working with the students, faculty, and staff in assisting in preparing students and graduates of Kentucky State for employment with the USDA and private sector agricultural based industries.
My primary responsibilities include student recruitment, and retention into the field(s) and the study of agriculture, sciences, and technology and to prepare students and assist in employment with USDA, and outreach of USDA programs and services to individuals and groups throughout Kentucky. I serve as a liaison with the United States Department of Agriculture and the 1890 Land Grant University to enrich the partnership and enhance the goals of the Department of Agriculture and the 1890 Land Grant University.
I administer the USDA 1890 Scholars Program a full tuition scholarship and career work experience with the United States Department of Agriculture for incoming college students and upperclassmen. I promote lucrative opportunities in the field of Agriculture, self and professional development to the students of Kentucky State University. "Come and Explore !!!" |
