Employment & Extension of Program
If you plan to participate in Optional Practical Training (OPT) upon graduation, please come and talk with or e-mail us at Global Education & Programs (global.education@kysu.edu ). Note that Immigration will NOT process an application after the applicant's program end date (check your I-20).
If you are a senior and think you might not complete graduation requirements on time and need to stay beyond the program end date that appears on your I-20, come and discuss the matter with us; we would gladly work with your faculty advisor to extend your program. We CANNOT extend your program end date after the expiration date on your I-20.
If you would like to participate in Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or any on-campus employment, please make an appointment to talk with us about the options. Remember that all employment must be pre-authorized.
