As an official University liaison and representative, the Department of Public Relations interacts with University staff, faculty and students and external publics, including the media. The Department also aids in creating and delivering internal and external communication pieces.

Another function of Public Relations is to plan and manage all official presidential events and assist other departments in the planning and coordination of events as needed.
