The Office of Records, Policy, and Legal Services assists the University community with its records, policy, and legal services. Legal services is perhaps the most visible and active of the three areas. The Office advises the administration and others on day-to-day legal questions, reviews contracts and legislation, researches legal issues, provides guidance on personnel and student disciplinary concerns, and generally performs whatever services are required.
The University Policies, Administrative Regulations, and Guidelines have been captured and almost completely updated, and will begin to appear on this website. It is this Office’s responsibility to keep track of these policies and procedures, suggest necessary amendments, and allow the University community ready access to these rules.
This Office receives all Open Records requests, gathers the necessary information, and sends the responses within the time period allowed by law. I assist the Blazer Library Archives with any questions they may have concerning records retention or related statutory issues. I also work with the Board of Regents’ Secretary in placing the official Board minutes in the University Archives.
