The Kentucky State University Staff Council is the official representative organization of staff. The Council is responsible for eliciting from the staff and expressing to the President opinions, suggestions, and recommendations regarding University policies, procedures, and documents affecting staff. Additional Council goals include facilitating communication among co-workers, promoting mutual understanding of administration-employee problems, and planning and implementing programs of interest and benefit to the staff. Council members are elected to represent either organizational units, job codes, or University staff at large; each member serves a two-year term. The Council meets on the third Thursday of each month; meetings are held at 2:00 PM in Room 112 of the Cooperative Extension Building. All council meetings are open to all KSU Staff.
