The Division of External Relations and Development seeks to project among all publics the image of Kentucky State University as unique, exceptional and worthy of support.  Through its programs, the Division generates for the institution both tangible and intangible resources and  support.  The Division is considered to be a support unit for all functional areas of the University and has existed at the University, albeit under different names and with varying responsibilities, for more than 30 years.

Programs coordinated by the Division are developed and implemented through its various units, which include:  alumni relations;  development;  grants and contracts;  marketing; advancement communications;  advancement services;  non-credit training programs;  and University Graphics.
