Katherine Napier, CPA, CISA, CIA, MBA
Katherine Napier joined Kentucky State University as Associate Vice President of Business Operations on May 7, 2007. Ms. Napier has over 20 years experience in business operations and holds an active Certified Public Account (CPA) license in the state of Kentucky, California, and Ohio. Katherine is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
Ms. Napier received her MBA from Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH) with a concentration in Information Systems Management and a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Baldwin Wallace College (Berea, OH).
Prior to joining Kentucky State University in 2007, Katherine has held various executive management positions throughout her career in both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. She served as Director of Internal Audit at the University of the Pacific (Stockton, CA), Associate Director of Audit Services at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH), Information Systems Audit Manager/Senior Auditor and Y2K Project Manager for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (Cleveland, OH), Director of Information Systems Management/Data Processing Manager for Ashtabula County (Jefferson, OH), and as Controller for Weiss Furs (Cleveland, OH).
Katherine is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Information Systems Audit and Controls Association (ISACA), and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
